To capture livestock can be a challenge and a bit messy, you never know what you are going to step in.  One needs to know how to read the signals the animals are giving off, many times the shake of a head or a step forward can be a warning.  Having farmed for many years, recognizing signals becomes second nature. While being utterly aware, the photograph must still capture what the animal presents, expression. Livestock can bring such joy, show animals to barnyard pets, owners want to capture "life on the farm".
